Based off an archival style from the 1970's, reworked the uppers of their Romeo boot into a single piece design which does away with the gore panels of the original. The result is a paired-back, classic Chelsea boot with the same time-honoured craft for which Viberg is known.
The uppers are constructed from a single piece of Waxy Commander suede produced by British tannery Charles F. Stead & Co. – a name synonymous with the finest leathers since 1900. Using bovine hide, the suede shrinks up to 25% during the unique CFS technique. The hide is tanned without any pigment – the same way all C.F. Stead leathers are tanned – with natural waxes applied to give the suede a waterproof finish.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A French leather sole is attached to the uppers using a natural split welt which ensures serviceability. To aid with traction the heel holds a piece of anti-slip rubber.
